Introducing “NAFO!” the North Atlantic Fellas Organization (yes, a play on NATO) an online collective that arose in May 2022 to support Ukraine against Russia. They have Shiba Inu heads because… reasons, I don’t know, these things happen on the internet.
But the Shiba Inu is a good choice — the American Kennel Association says the Shiba is a “spirited,” “good-natured,” and “adaptable” creature. As are the Fellas!
Operating on the front lines of “hybrid warfare,” they undermine and counterattack “deza” (disinformation) put out by bots and trolls. NAFO is expert at making Russian officials look silly, and your MassMiss considers them the most effective psyops campaign to come along since QAnon reared its ugly head.

Yorkshire Bylines, August 2022No. A recent event on Twitter when Mikhail Ulyanov, permanent representative of Russia in Vienna, found himself unable to use his Twitter account due to being harangued by hundreds of cartoon dogs, or doges.

But Who Are These Guys?
Fellas come from all over the world, but especially Eastern Europe, where folks are pretty sophisticated about “fake news” — In Finland, they teach that stuff in grade school and now they’re practically immune. NAFO posts are often in English, but also Ukranian, Latvian, Estonian, Finnish, Lithuanian and, especially, Polish.
Poland is a staunch ally of Ukraine and they have a long history of resistance to Russia. It’s a Catholic country — which probably explains the creation of Saint Javelin and Pope Francis, here with a monstrance-Fella.
The NAFO Mission
NAFO raises $$ for Ukraine’s Georgian Legion and humanitarian aid, as well as countering online disinformation. It’s a war effort — they are definitely not pacifists.
But, in your MassMiss’ opinion they are not CIA. The first thing Russian propagandists do is accuse the opposition of being CIA. The Fellas have gleefully piled on to this trope, loudly claiming that they are all IN LANGLEY VA RIGHT NOW, Langley being where CIA Headquarters are.
The thing is, Fellas are funny and the CIA just is not (similar to the FBI, below.) Plus, all those track suits — nope, not CIA.
